YES Alumni Video Contest

YES Alumni Video Contest

If you are a YES alumnus or alumna, you can  participate in our upcoming online event to kick-off the 10th Anniversary of the YES Program.  Submit a short video of you and your alumni friends telling the world “What does being YES Alumni mean to you?

You can contact your YES Alumni office in your country to participate in making the video.  Or you can make one by yourself. Directions for the video are here:

YES 10th Anniversary Kick-Off Video

In order to produce a quality video that shows the impact and success of the YES Program throughout the last 10 years, we are asking alumni to create short videos.

Videos following the criteria below and submitted by November 9, 2012 may be selected for use in the official YES Program 10th Anniversary online kick-off in late November, early December.

1.      In your video tell us, “What does being YES Alumni mean to you?”

2.      Decide on 1 short sentence and don’t speak during the video.

3.      Write sentence on a large piece of paper (either handwritten/typed) in English.

4.      Be creative!

5.      Use adjectives!

6.      Make your video visually interesting.

7.      Write country name on the piece of paper as well.

8.      Please make sure your sentence is clear to read.

9.      Record less than 1-minute video clip of an alumni group or an individual alumnus showing the sentence.

10.  Use an HD video camera when possible.

11.  Use a tripod or another device to ensure stability.

12.  Please ask alumni to wear traditional clothing of your country.

13.  Send videos to iEARN-USA at curtis@us.iearn.org by November 9, 2012.

14.  Submitted Videos will be screened and selected for inclusion in the YES Program video by the YES Anniversary Committee.
